The ''not so old'' Rose Elderstein

Hi guys! back at it again with another analysis on TPSOLC. This time, we are doing character analysis. So, on this task i was assign to analyze one of the characters in TPSOLC and as you might've guess based on the title, we're gonna be entering the traits of the Old Rose Elderstein. So here we go....

1. Caring
pg 183-184, when he Rose met Joseph at his apartment, she noticed that Joseph looks sickly and thin and the first thing she asked was that ''What's going on? You're here? Are you okay?'' Then when she insisted Joseph from sleeping on the floor though Joseph said it was better for his back. Then again on page 189 she asked whether he was in pain or not. This is shown through her action and also her feelings towards her brother. She is a caring sister isn't she?

2. Observant
On page 264, she noticed that her neighbor was taking a lot of medicine and she was worried about it. Again, this could also relate to Rose's caring traits as she asked whether his dad helped their neighbor or not. On page 280, she noticed that her mom was not facing her. On page 183, she notices that her brother got skinnier and sick, she knows something was wrong with her brother. On page 285, she notices that her brother was badly dehydrated and skinnier than ever. In conclusion, she observed the little things that people do or things that change. This traits can be seen through her feelings, characters and actions.

3. Talented
On page 278, compared to her younger self, she is now able to cook. Now, she cooked for her mother twice a week. She also refuses to help from her mother as she thinks that she'd cooked enough for a while. At first, she could only make appetizers then, she tried to develop this talent by cooking a wider range of foods such as soups, salads and entrees. Though she skipped some of the 'harder' recipes, she refuses to give up and continues to develop this talent of hers.

4. Stubborn
On page 189, Joseph told her to leave him. Despite this, she insisted on leaving his brother, she went to sit on the floor rather than leaving him. This also portrays her caring traits as she decided to check stay with her brother and check whether or not he is okay. This trait can be seen through her action and words.
